Homemade sounds always right, healthier and cheaper in my opinion.
I’m a person that prefer to cook my own food, eat at home, be healthy and make sure my food doesn’t contain more than necessary.

Yesterday on my day off, I made some homemade gluten free granola and obviously home duties as usual (I don’t know how to just be lazy and not do anything on my days off).

I don’t like cereals in general, and I know Craig loves his cereal in the morning. Although I want him to be gluten free as well. Come to the bright side with me HONEY!

Anyhow, home made granola is more simple than you think, I promise.

Easy home made granola recipe!

Prep time: 10 min
Total time: 20 min
Serves: 4-6


3 cups of gluten free oats
2 cups of almond flakes
1 cup of raisins and nuts (I added brasilian nuts)
1 tsp vanilla extract or almond extract
1/4 cup of raw seeds (sunflower seeds)
1/2 cup of dried fruit
1 large pinch of salt
2 tablespoon of coconut oil or olive oil.
3 table spoon of maple syrup or agave nectar

How to:
Preheat the oven in 300 F. Combine all the ingredients, use clean hands and mix well.
If you have coconut oil and it hard, just keep on mixing the ingredients as your hands will melt it into the mixture.
Spread the mixture into a thin layer on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. I actually let it be for 8 minutes and mix it again and back in the oven for another couple of minutes.
Let it cool down before serving or storing. The granola can be kept in a mason jar for up to 2 weeks. I recommend to keep it in the fridge.


Added shredded coconut for more flavaa.

I had a mix of raisins, coconut flakes and fried papaya so I used that as well.




Ops. I did burn the mixture a tiny bit.

The home made granola was a success and I love it. I actually like granola more now, and making my own made me actually feel better.
This recipe is sooo easy to make that I’m annoyed that I don’t make it more often. I like my food to be home made and healthy, lately I have been cooking a lot. Vegan food, and I actually have been feeling a little bit sick thinking of eating meat again. Or I guess it goes up and down, sometimes I just wanna have fish and all of that. Sometimes I just don’t mind at all having a plant based diet. I have actually gain a tiny little bit of weight since I been more careful with my food. Although I’m more leaner, stronger and happier, except from today (London’s rail service is SHIT, pay so much money for nothing. I really wish the whole city boycott to pay. Because they don’t deserve a penny from anyone. Oh nice to vent).
